The Identity Theft Component of Offshoring
Data theft and identity theft are overshadowed only by the massive unemployment and underemployment that offshoring causes both in the UK and in the US. Incidents come to light as successful arrests occur in India, but our burning question pertains to the impact of unreported theft incidents - incidents that are occurring right now. Highlights of Tania Sachdev's Article: “Identity theft and data stealing is
common among outsourcing companies and employees in India - watch out! Companies that are intoxicated with offshoring are too supercilious to regard any complaints. Therefore, countermeasures (besides legislation) need to focus on informing the offending company’s customers and the UK and US public.
